This short, introductory course gives an overview of what WordPress is and how people use it to make and manage websites. I start with an overview of the different ways websites are made and show how content management software, like WordPress, is often the best approach for making a website.

I also demonstrate what WordPress looks like on the front and back-end and show how WordPress plugins and themes can let you easily extend and customize a WordPress site. By the end of the video you should have a good understanding of what WordPress is and be ready to start learning how to use it to build and manage websites.

I hope you enjoy it. Watch my trailer and see a detailed overview of the course over at Treehouse.
