LearnFOWD NYC 2011: Five Reasons Why You Need To Be There

Times Square

After the success of FOWD NY 2010, we can’t wait to get back across the pond for this year’s show. We’re going all out this year, with great speakers, a bigger second stage, more networking sessions and a whole load of learning about the industry! It’s going to be a big one: here are five reasons why we’d love you to join us!

1. Sell-out Success in 2010…

We think we might just have nailed the ultimate FOWD formula: two days, two stages, with the optional extra of an expert-led workshop. In 2010 the show was so popular that we sold out of seats. We’re so happy with the new extended format – 4 times as much content and learning as before – that it’s here to stay for 2011.

2. The Brightest Stars in Web Design…

We pride ourselves on showcasing the best and most brilliant minds in modern web design. As our line up starts to be revealed, you can expect to see household names, as well as up-and-coming talent, all covering the topics that they consider the most important to our industry’s future.

3. Networking Paradise…

Stock up on business cards! FOWD attracts over 500 like-minded designers, all keen to share thoughts and make new connections. For some, FOWD has become a bit of an annual pilgrimage, with people heading over to meet up with friends in the business every year (and what better city to reunite in than NYC?) We’ll be building some structured networking sessions into the breaks, and throwing another huge party – so everyone has loads of chances to become acquainted – and you don’t have to worry about coming on your own!

4. Relive the Conference…

We know that there’s a lot to take in at our shows: we deliberately pack the schedules out with learning opportunities, and with two stages running side by side, there’s bound to be something you miss. So, we have all conference sessions professionally filmed. We integrate the slide decks, so that everything is placed in context (no more wondering what that lolcat had to do with CSS3!) Then we lovingly upload the whole package, ready to be password protected and delivered to your inbox, usually just hours after the end of the show!

5. Our Amazing Design Clinics…

Ever wanted to ask our speakers a design question, one-on-one? At FOWD, you’ve got the chance to. We lay on Design Clinics in the afternoon, meaning you can talk things over with our amazing speakers, float an idea you’ve had, get a quick critique of your site, or have your burning question answered. So much more personal than a huge Q&A session, and a lot more beneficial…

Grab a Bargain…

We work hard to make sure that FOWD provides the absolute maximum value for our attendees. We feed and water you, provide a busy conference schedule, invite the best speakers from around the world and do everything in our power to make the whole experience amazing. If you move fast, you can get even more for your money, and bag a Super Early Bird 2 Day Conference Pass! We only have 3 left (they carry a hefty $350 discount) so you’ll need to be quick – they are available for purchase here.

If you have any questions about the show, please do feel free to drop me an email. We’ll start announcing the line up in the coming months, so watch this space… Hope to see you in November!
