I’m excited to announce that our new podcast, Educate Yourself, is now live! Imagine you could call up a friend and say “Meet me at the cafe and give me the latest on the future of learning, higher ed and edtech.” That’s our aim with the Educate Yourself podcast. Brought to you by the team behind Treehouse, an online technology school with 75,000+ enrolled students.
You can now subscribe to the podcast on Android and in the iTunes Store.
I’m the host of the show, joined by Londa Quisling, Treehouse’s Chief Product Officer, and Tommy Morgan, Treehouse’s VP of Engineering. Our aim is to release a new show every two weeks.
The format is 10-15 minutes of industry news, followed by an in-depth 30-40 minute discussion with a guest on a specific topic.
On the first episode, we were joined by Anya Kamenetz, author, and journalist. Her books focus on the future of education: Generation Debt; DIY U: Edupunks, Edupreneurs, The Coming Transformation of Higher Education, and The Test. She’s been a senior writer at Fast Company and contributed to the New York Times, the Washington Post, Slate, and other major outlets like PBS, CNN and Vice TV.
Please subscribe and give it a listen! If you’re an Educate Yourself listener, we’d really appreciate your feedback! Please share your reviews in the Android or iTunes Store, and join the conversation with us on Twitter.
