Code is all around us.
Code is used in things like computers, phones, self-driving cars, and all other kinds of devices. Movies and TV shows make it look like flying 1’s and 0’s, or weird green characters raining down on a screen. This comes from the early days of programming, when it was much more difficult to write code. You had to know a lot about the internals of a computer.
Today, it’s not as complicated as it looks.
What does code do?
There are thousands of different programming languages. But all of them are a way to tell a computer or device what to do.
