Are you new around here? If so, welcome! (If not, good to see you again!) At Treehouse, we offer a wide variety of ways to learn. If you’re not entirely sure where to start, that’s okay. We’ll help you break it down below by defining a few of our learning offerings in detail.

Treehouse Courses

Most of our content is broken up into courses. Each course contains videos, quizzes, brief instructions, and code exercises. While some courses are just a couple hours long, some are multiple hours and could take quite a while to complete.

Like all Treehouse content, each course is self-paced. We also offer Practice sessions, which are guided exercises to strengthen particular skills, and Workshops, which offer in-depth tips and tricks for certain topics.

Treehouse Library

You can search our Library for individual courses and workshops. Search by topic, difficulty level, course name, or even by instructor. You can also sort Library content by most recent to oldest to see what’s new.

Anybody with a Treehouse subscription, no matter what level, has access to the Treehouse Library. Folks with a Pro or Techdegree subscription get access to some bonus content.

Treehouse Tracks

Think of our Tracks like mini programs. Each Track is an organized set of courses designed to teach a particular skill. Some of our Tracks are only a couple hours long. Others are 40+ and teach a full coding language.

Anyone with any kind of Treehouse subscription has access to our Tracks. Browse Tracks and find your next big learning endeavor laid out for you and ready to go.

Treehouse Techdegree

We offer five Techdegrees:

Each one is a curated curriculum that we estimate would take around 3-6 months to complete if studying full time. Sort of the same time commitment as a bootcamp, except that Techdegree is always at your own pace.

In addition to the same Treehouse course content you’d get from our Tracks, you’ll work on full-scale coding or design projects, each one correlating to the unit you just studied. After you graduate from Techdegree, you’ll have a portfolio full of projects ready to show potential employers.

While all Treehouse students have access to the Community page (which is in message board format), Techdegree students get exclusive access to our Slack. It’s a tight, supportive community of fellow students and Treehouse staff, where all questions are welcome. Many Techdegree graduates say it was the most valuable aspect of their time with Treehouse.

Whether you dive into a Techdegree or test the waters with a Track or two, we’re excited to embark on this learning journey with you.
