  1. Damn, can’t believe that I missed the deadline for this. Guess that teaches me for not checking this site out for a bit! Good luck to all those that applied for it though πŸ™‚

  2. Expansion to Australia?

  3. It’s nice to see Florida gettin’ some love from the web design & development community! You guys are just a hip hop and a skip away from me in Tampa! It makes me think maybe I don’t have to leave Florida & head to SF for bigger and better opportunities. There’s probably only room for one Allison, though πŸ™‚ Haha

Congrats to the lucky one who snags this great job!

  4. dang, would be awesome… i live in panama city, fl, which is not too far.. problem is, i mainly work with html5, css, php, starting to learn javascript so i dont think i would have much to teach. im currently working on my own site, and i learn new things everyday, from coding, designing to a whole new developing routine. but i would still love to show you guys my portfolio as soon as i start to launch my site, which is very soon. since ive learned alot from this site.

I really like your attitude regarding your work and staff. I emailed you the other day funnily about this when I was having severe lack of sleep and a pretty crappy day so it wasn’t the most well constructed email :S

Nice to see the Carsonied/Think Vitamin/Treehouse Family going from strength to strength.

Good luck to all applying, I’m pretty sure you won’t regret it πŸ™‚

  6. Sounds like a great opportunity! I would totally give it my all if I hadn’t committed to my community for a few years in cold, gray Ohio. πŸ˜‰ If you ever have any opportunities in Ohio, I’m all in. Otherwise, maybe there will be another opportunity to work with you guys in four or five years. πŸ™‚ Good luck on finding the right person for the job!

This would be an amazing job–as I already have been working as a university instructor for web (basic, intermediate, and advance) as well as interactive design and illustration (and just finishing my MFA this summer) and do video tutorials for my students. But my employeer (who paid for the degree and understandably) wants a commitment from me … Love the videos at Think Vitamin (been a fan of Ryan and Carsonified ever since I met Ryan at Chicago’s List Apart back in (something like ”04 or ’05) and would JUMP at this opportunity in a heartbeat.

    • Hey Thomas! πŸ™‚ How long is your commitment?

      • Thomas M. on April 8, 2011 at 6:27 am said:

Good to hear from you Ryan! The commitment is too long, unfortunately, for any consideration … I said I’d teach for 5 years (never thinking something like this would ever arise, apparently). Considering the school (where I teach) did pay for my degree, I’d have to somehow buy them out to opt out.

Be ready for an incoming email. πŸ™‚ I’ll make it something fun πŸ˜‰

  9. This would definitely be my dream job, but I have to learn a lot of things myself first. And I am very very far away…

  10. Can you guys open an office in Dallas before I graduate next year? πŸ™‚

Well comparing to the jobs here and benefits here to this one is much much better, you cant find something like that here.
And trust I would go live there but it’s a lot of work just to make the paper work to get a work visa. So maybe one day.

I’m located in Orlando, about to graduate from UCF. It would be amazing to intern with you guys, with or with out pay it wouldn’t matter I just want to learn and be apart of a team that I look up to. Not to mention if that led to a full time position! πŸ˜‰ Nick your doing a lecture in one of my classes next week, I’m really looking forward to it!

  13. Not really my dream job (I can’t teach!) but truly my dream workplace πŸ™‚

OMG It’s a dream job. Shame I’m far far away :'(
