Community#15MinChallenge Roundup

writes on March 7, 2017

When we began the #15MinChallenge, we were hoping for great results and ended up blown away by the participation and motivation of the participants. The challenge as a whole was considered a success, and we couldn’t have done it without our amazing students and staff who participated!

At launch, we wanted to prove that all it takes is 15 minutes a day in order to make progress in coding. We asked those participating to set aside time daily for 30 days, set a goal, and share the progress they were making on social media using #15MinChallenge. Not only did we see strides being made, but we felt how much that progress meant for our students.

During the challenge, we also held weekly giveaways. We started out by gifting a free month of Treehouse to four lucky participants, followed by a Treehouse swag pack, $50 Amazon gift card, and then finally a free month of Techdegree as the grand prize. We enjoyed being able to reward those participating.

We sincerely thank everyone who participated and made the #15MinChallenge the success that it was. We couldn’t have done it without our incredible students and staff who jumped in, set goals and met them. You can expect to see similar challenges in the future, and we encourage everyone to continue this challenge in the meantime. 15 minutes a day may not seem like much, but when learning to code, every minute counts!
