As you may know, last week the Carsonified Events team wrapped up the Future of Web Apps London. We had such a fun time. Our speakers, content and attendees were all amazing and the show was a great success!

Having said all of this, we are always striving to make our events bigger and better so we want to hear from YOU! Have you ever been to a web/tech event? Would you ever go? What would would be the deciding factor to make you purchase that ticket?

We’d love to hear your thoughts so please do take a few minutes to fill out our online survey. Every person who fills out the form will be entered into the draw to win a year’s Think Vitamin membership totally FREE!

Thanks to Greg Annandale for the Photograph.

I took the survey, but you guys need to take a look at the design of it. It was horrible to use. I was very close to leaving without submitting my responses.

We’ll take a look at it Jason. What would be your suggestions to make it more user friendly? Thanks Lou

Louise, my main issue was the gridded questions (“How important are the following aspects of a conference?”, “Which of these topics…?”, “Which of these technologies…?”). It was tough to follow which row I was on when filling out the appropriate radio button.  Maybe adding some zebra-striping or some horizontal bordering would help. A hover state on the row would help a lot too.  The problem is intensified with it being a fluid page. If you  view it in a maximized window on a large enough screen the responses become too far apart from the actual field they are attached to.

I’m sorry, I feel like I’m probably nit-picking a good bit. It was just a little frustrating when filling it out and if I found it to be that frustrating, I imagine others might feel the same way and not bother to respond, which I’m sure is not what you want. Not sure how much customization you can do through Survey Monkey, but I would recommend looking into these things for your next survey.
