Ruby Basics– Jay McGavren (169 minutes)

This is our classic Ruby Basics course, new and improved! Ruby is a programming language with a focus on simplicity and productivity. It has an elegant syntax that is natural to read and easy to write. In Ruby Basics, we’ll learn how to work with Ruby and write simple Ruby programs.

Introduction to Anaconda– Kenneth Love (15 minutes)

Anaconda is a large and powerful platform that’s heavily used by science and data oriented Pythonistas. It makes it faster and easier to install the tools and libraries you need to use your science. In this workshop, we are going to show you how to install the platform, packages and libraries.

Migrating WordPress– Alena Holligan (14 minutes)

When you have completed your local development, you will need to migrate your changes to a live server. You also may need to migrate from one hosting provider to another. In this video we cover how to migrate the database and file structure of your WordPress site.

Prototyping with Figma – (October 2017)

In this course, you’ll learn how to build interactive and sharable prototypes in Figma, a web-based visual prototyping tool. You’ll create a prototype for a “prosumer” mobile photography app, and by the end, you’ll have a better understanding of how to create interactive prototypes that can be shared with project stakeholders and team members.

Digital Media Through Photoshop– (October 2017)

Get started with creating your own digital media files. Setting up your documents properly before you start creating will be crucial for your end product. In this course we’ll learn what those considerations are as well as how to choose the right options. We’ll introduce the most prolific creative application Photoshop to set up our files, make some adjustments and come out the other end with a banner ad suitable for use on the the desktop and mobile as well as print. This course is perfect for anyone looking to get started with design or photography.
